Boca Raton's Wine Culture: A City That Appreciates Luxury

Boca Raton has long been synonymous with refined living. At Dragon Cellars, we've had the privilege of building wine cellars throughout Boca Raton's most prestigious neighborhoods. Here we showcase ten of our most impressive projects.

#10: The Minimalist Modern

A 400-bottle minimalist cellar featuring frameless tempered glass walls, brushed stainless steel racking, and LED strip lighting that creates a soft amber glow throughout the space.

#9: Mediterranean Revival Wine Room

Reclaimed brick veneer, hand-forged iron wine racks, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling finished in aged plaster. A custom tasting table in live-edge walnut makes this wine room a destination within the home.

#8: The Glass Tower

This floor-to-ceiling glass wine tower rises 14 feet in the foyer of a waterfront estate. The cylindrical glass structure houses 2,000 bottles and has been featured in two architectural publications.

#7: The Boca Raton Modern Wine Room

One of our signature Boca Raton projects — a fully enclosed modern wine room with floor-to-ceiling tempered glass panels, wall-mounted metal racks, and programmable RGB LED lighting. Designed for a home in one of Boca's most sought-after golf communities, this cellar stores 600 bottles while functioning as the visual centerpiece of the home's open-plan entertaining area.

#6: The Custom Wine Cabinet on Camino Real

Not every great wine cellar requires a dedicated room. This bespoke wine cabinet in Boca Raton proves that compact can be extraordinary. Fabricated with premium lacquered panels, integrated LED illumination, and advanced temperature control built directly into the unit, this cabinet stores 180 bottles in a dining room setting — a real Dragon Cellars project that continues to earn admiring comments from every guest.

#5: The Transitional Wine Room at a Mizner Park Estate

This transitional design blends warm wood tones with contemporary cable-system wine racks, creating a wine room that feels at home in a Mediterranean-influenced Boca Raton estate. The space accommodates 1,200 bottles and includes a dedicated tasting counter with under-counter refrigeration — perfect for an avid collector who entertains regularly.

#4: Under-Stair Wine Cellar in Boca Country Club

A masterclass in space efficiency. This under-stair wine cellar in a multi-level Boca Country Club home transforms a previously unused triangular cavity into a climate-controlled, glass-fronted cellar holding 350 bottles. Custom-fabricated racking follows the exact geometry of the staircase, with every inch engineered for maximum capacity and visual impact.

#3: The Collector's Sanctuary in Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club

Built for one of Boca Raton's most dedicated wine collectors, this 3,000-bottle climate-controlled sanctuary features hand-fabricated wood and metal racking systems imported from Spain, a full tasting room with seating for eight, and a dedicated display wall for trophy bottles. The project took four months from design to completion and remains one of our most awarded residential builds.

#2: The Wine Wall at a Waterfront Residence on Spanish River

A dramatic 20-foot wine wall anchors the living room of this Spanish River waterfront home. The installation features acrylic bottle holders, floating glass shelves, and a full LED backlit system that changes color by scene — from warm gold for dinner parties to cool white for daytime entertaining. Capacity: 800 bottles, all visible, all accessible, all perfectly conditioned.

#1: The Ultimate Wine Cellar & Tasting Room in The Sanctuary

Our most ambitious Boca Raton project to date. Located in The Sanctuary — one of Palm Beach County's most exclusive gated communities — this 5,000-bottle wine cellar and full tasting room represents the pinnacle of what Dragon Cellars can achieve. Premium red cedar racking fabricated in Spain, a temperature-controlled humidor, a professional tasting bar, and a hand-painted ceiling inspired by classic European wine caves. This is not a wine storage solution. It is a way of life.

Design Trends in Boca Raton Wine Cellars

Glass walls have replaced solid walls as the dominant choice. LED lighting and technology integration from smart temperature monitoring to inventory management apps are now expected rather than exceptional.
